So my students are starting recorders very soon!
While almost everyone purchases a recorder, I always have a few students who for a variety of reasons need to borrow a recorder. so I always keep recorders on hand to borrow. In years past, I’ve marked borrowed recorders with numbers so that I could generically label the recorder cases. The problem with this strategy is that as time goes by my numbers get wonkey. This year I uncovered the joy of painters tape. I like it because it matches the color of the case. I ask my students to write their names on the tape and now their borrowed recorders are labeled in exactly the same way as the recorders that are purchased by other students.
It works GREAT!
